When I sit back and consider the significant events in my past, the important aspects of my current life, and my future goals, the underlying theme is one of appreciating diversity, across ethnic and socioeconomic class lines and especially through cross country culture, race and the fear of unknown. I was born in Pathankot, India in a Hindu family along with one elder sister and younger brother. Pathankot is a very important city strategically as it has one of the largest army base in India and is not very far away from Pakistan Border. During my first three years of birth I was raised in Dinanagar which is our ancestral town. Then we moved to Chandigarh where I have some significant amount of time. I spent some wonderful years in Shimla too which used to be summer Capital of India during the British Colonial rule .

I believe that I grew more, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, during my four years of Engineering Education at Beant College of Engineering and Technology, Gurdaspur which gave me a chance to get out of the comfort of home and be in a whole new world with new people and helped me to develop a different perception about the world. Engineering College attracted students from Punjab and other parts of India, and in a sense was a way for me to escape my own inhibitions staying at home and failing to relate to the world.
